About The Position

Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Laboratory Quality Coordinator to work full time days in the Quality Management Department. This position is based in Hampton Roads, but will require travel to the following cities: Charlottesville, VA Harrisonburg, VA Woodbridge, VA South Boston, VA. The Laboratory Quality Coordinator is responsible for managing processes to support ongoing compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards system-wide. Interfaces and collaborates with leadership, medical, and laboratory staff to establish and implement continuing compliance and survey readiness and to meet accreditation and compliance goals. Researches and clarifies standard compliance requirements while keeping leadership informed on progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• ASCP or AMT certification
• 3 years laboratory experience
• 3 years laboratory quality improvement experience
• 3 years laboratory regulatory/compliance experience
• 3 years laboratory safety experience
• 3 years laboratory accreditation and regulatory experience

Responsibilities

• Managing processes to support ongoing compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards system-wide.
• Interfacing and collaborating with leadership, medical, and laboratory staff to establish and implement continuing compliance and survey readiness.
• Meeting accreditation and compliance goals.
