About The Position
We are a logistics company that focuses on the repair, refurbishment and re-manufacturing of pallets. This role involves using tools to correct quality issues in pallet assembly, examining pallets for defects, and performing basic maintenance on the quality control station. The work is indoors and steady year-round.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ years old
- Willing to work in a fast-paced/high-volume environment
- Attention to detail & commitment to quality
Nice To Haves
- Basic tool knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities
- Uses a hammer and/or saw to correct quality issues in the assembly pallets.
- Lifts pallet to examine pallet, removes defective boards, and corrects nail related issues.
- Understands pallet specifications and modification necessary for customers.
- Responsible for troubleshooting jams, and basic maintenance of quality control station.
- Inspects pallets visually for defects including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missing components, nail defects, debris and contamination.
- Correct defects that do not meet specification criteria.
- Removes damaged boards with pry bar/hammer.
- Cleans area during and at end of shift.
- Performs other duties as required.
