About The Position

The QC Tech will be responsible for accurately recording incoming raw materials, pulling samples for inspection, and inspecting items to parameters listed on quality specification sheets. This role involves issuing, reviewing, and closing batch records for production, and utilizing various inspection equipment such as gauges, rulers, micrometers, snap gauges, calipers, and microscopes. The technician will also generate master production records and other documentation, review test results for conformity with established specifications, and perform and log various testing results. Additionally, responsibilities include maintaining and reviewing facility and equipment logs, performing and documenting in-process quality checks, and facility, equipment, and environmental monitoring. The role also encompasses performing line clearance, including lot number and label review, materials management for sanitation, and other QA/QC tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in food manufacturing required
  • Detail oriented
  • Excels at both independent work and collaborating with team in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Basic computer skills, preferably MS Office Suite
  • Ability to be on feet and/or walk for extended periods
  • Comfortable wearing personal protective gear including lab coat, face mask, hair net, etc.
  • Solutions oriented attitude
  • Growth mindset with the ability to spot areas needing improvement
  • Willingness to learn new systems, techniques, and technologies
  • Must be able to read/write/speak English

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a QC Inspector or Technician strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in a regulated industry preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities
