About The Position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a Quality Control Technician for their Nampa, Idaho location. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality products by performing chemical and physical analysis on the production line, adhering to food safety and corporate guidelines. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, quick problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations, and the ability to react swiftly. Additionally, this role may involve Syrup Batcher duties, which include preparing bulk quantities of beverage products by mixing concentrate and other ingredients according to recipes, performing mathematical calculations for adjustments, cleaning and operating batch room equipment, evaluating syrup quality, recording relevant information, managing inventory, and sampling shipments. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); preferred.
  • 1 year of manufacturing or food processing preferred.
  • Effectively communicate to all members of the organization and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the production line is producing highest quality products in accordance with all food safety and corporate guidelines by performing chemical and physical analysis.
  • Selects test samples of closures, containers, labels, and packages from production lines following established procedures as to time, place, and sequence.
  • Measures dimensions of closures, containers, and labels with scales and micrometers.
  • Conducts abrasion tests on closures, containers, and labels with abrasion machine.
  • Measures hardness of closures and containers.
  • Measures bursting strength of containers.
  • Tests wet and dry tearing strengths of labels and cartons.
  • Weighs filled containers to measure volume of contents.
  • Checks the quality of all raw materials that come into plant (fructose, water, cans, bottles, etc.).
  • Checks the quality of all finished goods.
  • Records test results and prepares graphs and charts.
  • Ensure that all products leaving the plant for sale meet established quality standards.
  • Completes all required Food Safety and GMP training and demonstrates compliance on a continual basis.
  • Mixes beverage concentrate and other ingredients to produce syrup by following established recipes and procedures.
  • Makes mathematical calculation to make adjustments in recipe amounts based on the size of the batch to be mixed in order to meet quality standards.
  • Cleans, sanitizes and operates the batch room and equipment in compliance with F.D.A. and G.M.P. standards.
  • Evaluates prepared syrup as to texture, appearance, flavor, and other specified standards.
  • Records amount and kinds of ingredients, coding data and other appropriate information on Batch Sheets and other required Syrup Room documentation.
  • Receives and secures inventory.
  • Manages syrup inventory to ensure optimum use of ingredients in accordance with code dates.
  • Samples shipments to verify weights, measures, coding data, and other evaluations for product control.
  • Wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment.
  • Wears Company provided uniform and presents a professional image to customers and the work place.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
