About The Position

This position reports to the Quality Manager. The person in this position is responsible for performing product testing, including floor and lab, using various types of testing equipment to ensure the parts being produced meets quality standards. This person will perform daily audits and prepare reports as needed. They will be responsible for rechecking reworked parts to ensure they meet quality standards. They will work closely with Team Leaders and Supervisors to provide Quality Control Training and direction, writing quality procedures and/or update current standards as required. This person will support process improvement initiatives using LEAN manufacturing principles in an effort to eliminate waste. The work model for the role is onsite in Portland, TN. This role is contributing to the success of the ABB Installation Products, Portland, TN location.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Basic Math skills
Computer skills a must – Email, Excel, Microsoft Work, Access
Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
Minimum 5 years’ hands on experience in Quality Control or specific skills and characteristics that would be relevant for this role
May be required to work alternate shifts as business needs require as well as perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
