About The Position

This role involves performing routine and periodic inspections of fuel storage facilities and systems to ensure compliance with various standards and to prevent spills, releases, overfills, and product contamination. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, making log entries, and adhering to all safety policies and procedures. The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and involves physical tasks such as lifting and handling equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license
  • Must pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug test
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
  • Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • ATA 103 daily, weekly, monthly quality annual inspections documented daily
  • NFPA 407, IATA QC requirements
  • Pass Color blind test
  • Assisting GSE shop during inspections, defuel testing procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry

Responsibilities

  • Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems
  • Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
  • Monitors storage tanks and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfits and product contamination
  • Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures
  • Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, QC, and maintenance
  • Comply with the station’s attendance/tardiness standards
  • ATA 103 daily, weekly, monthly quality annual inspections documented daily, NFPA 407, IATA QC requirements
