About The Position

Mural Group is partnering with a global specialty chemical and materials manufacturer to hire a Quality Technician for its Holden, Massachusetts facility. This is an on-site laboratory and quality role supporting production by evaluating batches and recommending adjustments. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no evenings or weekends. The position is contract to hire and pays $26.00 to $28.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of color matching experience, including operating a spectrophotometer or colorimeter, evaluating color against a master standard, and making or recommending adjustments.
• At least 1 year of quality or laboratory testing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of production experience.
• Experience recording quality data in SAP or a comparable ERP or LIMS system.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial environment while wearing required PPE.
• Reliable transportation to the on-site Holden, Massachusetts facility.

• Forklift license or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Test production batches against customer and internal specifications and determine whether they pass, are held, or need adjustment.
• Recommend and develop adjustments for batches that do not meet specifications.
• Test incoming raw materials and verify supplier Certificates of Analysis.
• Complete and issue Certificates of Analysis to customers.
• Record test results and maintain reference files in SAP.
• Verify the calibration and accuracy of gauges and test equipment.
• Participate in complaint investigations and corrective action processes as needed.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements throughout the shift.
