About The Position

The Quality Control Technician will perform all assigned duties, focusing on daily testing procedures during the manufacturing process to ensure products comply with food safety, quality standards, and written specifications. This role involves monitoring and verifying CCPs, GMPs, and SSOPs in process, inspecting incoming and finished materials, and collecting data for all manufactured products. The technician will also be responsible for calibrating and monitoring test instruments and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information.
  • HACCP trained.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-op activities including visual inspections, ATP swabbing on contact surfaces, and allergen swabbing.
  • Monitor and provide GMP training.
  • Conduct Chemical/Physical tests (pH, Aw) and sensory evaluations on raw materials, semi-processed, and finished products.
  • Perform inspections across all stages of production.
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
