About The Position

The Quality Control Technician II is responsible for supporting the Quality Department by performing incoming inspections, processing Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs), managing nonconforming materials (NCMs), and ensuring compliance with company quality standards. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, communication(verbal and written), and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of inspection tools and measuring equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, including SyteLine.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Receiving Department by performing and documenting 10% incoming receiving inspections in accordance with company quality procedures.
  • Inspect, document, and process Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs).
  • Identify, document, separate, and process nonconforming materials (NCMs) while ensuring proper disposition.
  • Process Return to Vendor (RTV) materials and maintain accurate RTV documentation.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for freight damage, photograph damaged materials, document findings on the Bill of Lading (BOL), and communicate discrepancies to Purchasing and Quality.
  • Record inspection results, RMAs, RTVs, and inventory transactions in SyteLine.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives by documenting vendor-related quality issues and assisting Purchasing with supplier corrective actions.
  • Assist with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) by documenting root causes, corrective actions, and verification activities.
  • Communicate quality concerns with Receiving, Production, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with company quality standards and procedures.
  • Maintain an organized isolated area for nonconforming and RMA materials.
  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
