The Quality Control Technician I performs prescribed tests and evaluates data to determine compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) specifications for raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished goods and product returned on a Return Materials Authorization (RMA). Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • At least 1-3 years of experience as a technician in a quality assurance laboratory.
  • Familiar with measuring devices including calipers, balances, force gages, water activity meter, gas analyzer; knowledge of acidity, alkalinity, and solution preparation; able to write reports and analysis of tests and inspections; competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and Sharepoint; competent in use of QT9 QMS portal, InfinityQS data system and InforXA.
  • Able to work well with others, strong organizational skills, self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven track record of results with bias for action.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to utilize time and resources effectively and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in Technical Field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs work in a safe manner following all company safety rules and procedures.
  • Commitment to Total Quality Leadership (TQL) through implementation of the Quality Policy and participation in, or support of, teams and work groups.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable requirements of the Company’s ISO/FSSC/cGMP quality system as documented in the Quality Manual, System Procedures, and Work Instructions.
  • Performs tests and evaluates data to determine compliance with QA specifications for raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished goods, and product returned on a Return Materials Authorization.
  • Provides written and oral communications concerning the conformance to and deviations from prescribed specifications.
  • Formulates solutions used in moisture adsorption tests, RH tests, and other analytical projects based on prescribed instructions.
  • Assists other QC Technicians, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and R&D Scientists.
  • Organizes and maintains the filing of inspection and test data and shop order records.
  • Participates in internal and supplier audits.
  • Writes reports and analysis of tests and inspections.
  • Verifies test equipment and performs simple calibrations.
  • Performs special tests with assistance from Quality Engineering or R&D Scientists.
