About The Position

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. Position Summary We have an opportunity for a Quality Control SMO - Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will follow detailed instructions and established procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and good manufacturing practices. You will apply technical skills and strong work habits to complete assigned work within your group or project team. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can make decisions, solve problems, and work independently while supporting team members and management as needed. Shift: 8am-4pm Monday to Friday Location: Kansas City, MO 100% Onsite

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent with zero (0) years of experience.
  • Mathematical and scientific reasoning ability with the ability to learn and retain technical information.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal customers, team members, and management.
  • Strong personal time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Understands how daily activities impact the overall performance of the group, site, and business, and acts in the best interests of colleagues, patients, customers, and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, count, label, and organize samples and standards for further distribution.
  • Handle temperature recording devices, including stopping, starting, and interpreting or providing data to clients.
  • Perform registration activities for all samples and standards into the chain of custody software.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to ensure efficient sample flow.
  • Obtain DEA clearance and participate in controlled substance inventory verification.
  • Perform support activities for the Quality Control department.
  • Execute assigned daily work plan or schedule as developed by the Team Lead or Group Leader.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation in accordance with regulatory guidance and site SOPs.
  • Execute procedures or methods with accuracy and review own work for completeness.
  • Identify minor quality or compliance gaps during routine work.
  • Participate in assigned improvement projects.
  • Support and maintain a respectful and professional workplace.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
