About The Position
Pregis is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance. This role adheres to customer specifications and delivery requirements, working in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures. The QA Inspector is responsible for constant quality monitoring during production, guiding workflow by monitoring the packaging workforce's quality inspections and packaging process. They perform quality inspections at regularly prescribed intervals and document accordingly across multiple production lines, helping employees in the department perform their duties correctly and operate at or above designated run speeds.

- Knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment

- Ability to read a ruler, scale, and micrometer.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality.
- Ability to work Overtime as needed daily, or weekends based upon business needs.
Nice To Haves
- High school education or equivalent technical school preferred
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment and/or inspection role preferred.
- Knowledge of packaging production SOPs and Quality Standards a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document hourly inspections and run profile, retain samples per EverTec Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor mailer production, including packaging, for defects and inaccuracies per EverTec quality standards; correct and report any non-conformities and initiate hold procedure when needed in collaboration with Team Lead and Shift Supervisor as needed.
- Train Packers on EverTec Quality Assurance (QA) SOP; regularly conduct audits to ensure quality inspections are being performed.
- Work with Packaging Team Lead and Operations to resolve issues per EverTec QA SOPs.
- Communicate effectively with upcoming shift to ensure smooth handoff; keep open dialogue with staff to minimize delays.
- Help to identify raw material defects, captures relevant information (lot codes, samples, etc.) and forward to Quality Manager.
