About The Position

The Quality Control Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established standards of quality, safety, and reliability before reaching customers. The Quality Control Tech collaborates closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
  • Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Analytical skills to assess product conformity and identify defects through precise measurement and testing.
  • Communication skills for effectively reporting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Technical skills for the use and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment, ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Problem-solving abilities to support the investigation of quality discrepancies and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Organizational skills to maintain detailed records and documentation critical for audits and continuous improvement efforts.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree in quality control, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis methods.
  • Proficiency with quality documentation software and data entry systems.
  • Certification such as Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct various tests using specialized equipment and document results accurately for quality records.
  • Identify and report any product defects or process deviations to the quality management team promptly.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in the development and updating of quality control procedures and documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to support compliance with industry regulations and standards.
