About The Position

This role involves supervising the aggregate production quality assurance and testing process. Key responsibilities include conducting aggregate and concrete ready mix testing, maintaining a test result database, evaluating data for deviations, and following quality control plans. The position also requires acting as a Weighmaster, providing training, maintaining certifications, performing backup parts running, ensuring confidentiality of reports, accurately completing timecards, and prioritizing safety. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in aggregate testing and concrete ready mix production testing.
  • Ability to sample, perform aggregate gradation, and determine mixture volumetric properties.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and inputting data into a test result database.
  • Skill in evaluating data for deviations or trends.
  • Knowledge of quality control plans and guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Willingness to act as Weighmaster and work with state agencies.
  • Capability to provide training to personnel.
  • Commitment to maintaining and expanding certifications.
  • Willingness to perform backup parts running.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of reports.
  • Accuracy in completing timecards and other reports.
  • Commitment to working safely and preventing unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise aggregate production quality assurance and testing process.
  • Conduct Aggregate Testing and Concrete Ready Mix production testing: sampling, aggregate gradation and mixture volumetric property determination where applicable.
  • Maintain test result database including inputting data.
  • Evaluate data for deviations or trends away from acceptable standards.
  • Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned.
  • Communicate results to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Act as Weighmaster for the site, following weighing procedures and working with state agencies as required.
  • Provide aggregate testing training for inter/intra company personnel.
  • Maintain current certifications and expand certifications to allow cross-training throughout company.
  • Perform back up parts running as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of aggregate lab and testing reports.
  • Complete and report accurately on timecards and other needed reports.
  • Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
