About The Position
APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician. This role is crucial in ensuring the premium quality of aggregates, asphalt, and other materials produced and supplied by the company. The technician will collaborate with a dedicated team, champion safety, conduct thorough inspections and testing, and maintain accurate data. This position offers a supportive team environment with the resources of a large organization, prioritizing safety and employee well-being.
Requirements
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background check, and “Fit for Work” physical
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 75 lbs repetitively
- Strong visual acuity (with correction)—close, distance, peripheral, depth, and focus
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with our fleet safety standards
- Professionalism and courteous attitude at all times
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Willingness to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused workplace
- Minimum age of 18 and ability to provide valid I-9 documentation
- High school diploma or GED required

- Additional college, technical school, or relevant experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with dedicated co-workers and managers in a dynamic team setting
- Champion a safe work environment, strictly following all company, OSHA and MSHA safety policies
- Conduct thorough inspections, sampling, and testing of aggregates, asphalt, and other materials to ensure premium quality
- Test mixtures for compliance with contract specifications and quality control tolerances
- Monitor daily processes and materials to consistently exceed agency and customer requirements
- Record and maintain accurate data in our test results database
- Assist internal and external customers with professionalism and efficiency
- Achieve necessary certifications promptly to stay at the cutting edge
- Support quality control plans and help keep work areas clean and organized
- Perform other duties as needed to support team success
