About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Control Technician to join our team in Fresno, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring product quality and food safety standards throughout the production process. The Quality Control Technician will perform inspections, testing, documentation, and compliance verification to ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements while supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Previous Quality Control experience in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs.
  • Ability to operate laboratory and quality testing equipment.
  • Experience using pH meters, refractometers, ATP testing units, torque meters, and scales.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking); bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, wet production environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
  • Ability to climb stairs as needed.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 30 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be willing to wear required PPE, including hair nets, beard nets, bump caps, gloves, goggles, rubber boots, and rain gear.
  • Must be available for overtime and flexible scheduling.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Support employees and customers in a positive and professional manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with production, warehouse, and management teams.
  • Conduct and document Pre-Op and Post-Op inspections of equipment and facility areas.
  • Perform Brix and pH testing on products and accurately record results.
  • Notify supervisors of any out-of-specification products or quality concerns.
  • Visually inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Calibrate, clean, and maintain pH meters and related testing equipment.
  • Maintain fresh buffers and water for testing procedures.
  • Identify, label, and store product retains for items produced during the shift.
  • Verify traceability information, including lot numbers and batch codes, on packaging.
  • Verify and record fill weights and production data.
  • Review traceability documentation throughout the production process.
  • Place non-conforming products on Quality Hold as required.
  • Complete Incident Reports and record abnormal events or quality deviations.
  • Monitor GMP and SOP compliance throughout production and warehouse operations.
  • Verify compliance with allergen control procedures and food safety standards.
  • Inspect seals, weights, lot codes, and print legibility on finished products.
  • Inspect sanitation status of totes and containers prior to production use.
  • Conduct ATP swabbing to validate sanitation effectiveness.
  • Organize production documentation for HACCP reviews.
  • Communicate quality concerns and findings with Operations, Production, and Food Safety leadership.
  • Demonstrate sound decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and assist other departments when needed.
