About The Position

Cranial Technologies is the only company in the world completely dedicated to researching, diagnosing, and treating plagiocephaly (commonly called flat head syndrome). With over 500,000 babies successfully treated, we are the plagiocephaly experts and the leader in pediatric cranial shaping orthoses. Cranial Technologies, located in Tempe, AZ manufactures the DOC Band®, a cranial orthotic product that is custom-made to each baby’s head. The DOC Band® is the first FDA approved head band to correct cranial asymmetry. We are looking for a Quality Professional with a keen eye for spatial relationships & a passion for detail. Bring your strong visual skills, ability to communicate well with others and excellent attention to detail to Cranial Technologies and impact lives each day! If you bring us your eye for quality, we will train you in all the steps necessary to be successful at Cranial Technologies. As a DOC Band® Inspector, you would be putting your visual and body proportionality skills to work by evaluating every DOC Band® manufactured by our Fabrication Artists. We’re looking for a person who can visualize how the DOC Band® will fit on the baby’s head and assess the quality of the head band, including the length at the neck, size and position of the ears, the shape over the eyes and the overall design. When there are areas of improvement identified, you will be communicating with the Fabrication Artists to implement the appropriate changes. You’ll be working with a dynamic group of employees who are passionate about the work they do and are dedicated to the babies we treat. Requirements

  • An artist’s eye for detail
  • Excellent spatial abilities
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in a positive manner
  • Ability to problem solve alone and with a team
  • Attention to detail with regard to policies and paperwork
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in quality inspection within a regulated industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating every DOC Band® manufactured by our Fabrication Artists.
  • Visualizing how the DOC Band® will fit on the baby’s head and assessing the quality of the head band, including the length at the neck, size and position of the ears, the shape over the eyes and the overall design.
  • Communicating with the Fabrication Artists to implement appropriate changes when areas of improvement are identified.
