Requirements

  • Must have at least six months of accumulated service time in current position to be eligible to bid on this job unless HR approval has been granted
  • Demonstrates ability to train others and solve problems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Demonstrates adaptability and the ability to learn new processes quickly
  • Ability to positively influence and motivate a team through a strong commitment to Our Values in Action

  • Experience with switchgear or electrical equipment assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, initiate, support and sustain change as directed
  • Monitor department to ensure employees are working safely at all times and using necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Coordinate and sequence work assignments within the department to ensure a smooth flow and optimum efficiency of production
  • Issue daily instructions and details to employees to satisfy the needs and requirements of the daily build as directed
  • Direct and/or oversee cleanup activities of the department
  • Work with specific employees on nonconformance issues or quality-related matters
  • Assist in monitoring of employees’ job performance and provide input for performance appraisals
  • Assist in the training of employees on processes and procedures
