About The Position

The Quality Control Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring product integrity, audit accuracy, and quality standard compliance across fulfillment center operations. This role leads and develops a team of auditors to ensure all work orders are inspected with accuracy and timeliness against Fanatics Commerce product quality standards, specifications, and expectations. Working in close partnership with the Product Integrity Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining rigorous audit processes, accurate records, and a consistent quality methodology across all finished and unfinished product evaluations. The Quality Control Supervisor delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of applicable and demonstrated experience in quality control, product inspection, or a related discipline within an apparel, textile, or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated basic sewing and garment construction knowledge, with the ability to evaluate finished and unfinished products against technical specifications.
  • Ability to distinguish colors accurately; must achieve a minimum passing score on the Munsell Color Hue Test.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain quality standards, nonconformance decisions, and audit findings to team members and managers.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access, with accurate and reliable data entry and record-keeping habits.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work orders and shifting priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily productivity, accuracy, and activities of all auditors, establishing workload priorities and maintaining accountability to quality standards across the team.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, performance evaluations, and constructive feedback to auditors, fostering a high-performing and consistent team culture.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to drive alignment, reinforce quality methodology, and promote consistency in execution.
  • Collaborate with the Product Integrity Manager, internal managers, supervisors, and floor leads to prioritize work orders requiring audit or 100% inspection.
  • Support and act as backup to the Product Integrity Manager, assisting with special projects and assignments as directed.
  • Maintain safe, organized, and clean working environments that enable auditors to perform at their best.
  • Ensure all work orders are audited and 100% inspected in a timely manner, protecting the quality of product that reaches fans.
  • Uphold and communicate Fanatics product quality standards, expectations, and specifications so that only conforming product moves through the supply chain.
  • Review tech packs and artwork particularly when preparing inbound audit reports to safeguard accuracy and consistency in delivered product.
  • Gain and maintain the confidence of co-workers and the Product Integrity Manager by exercising sound, objective judgment in evaluating defects and nonconforming product.
  • Apply structured problem-solving to identify root causes of nonconformance and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
  • Leverage accurate and well-maintained audit records including daily, weekly, and monthly reports to surface trends and drive data-informed quality improvements.
  • Approve strike-offs and conduct audits as needed, applying expertise in garment construction, materials, and color standards to make sound quality determinations.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced fulfillment environment, finding efficient solutions that keep production on track without compromising quality.
  • Keep precise, complete records of all work orders, audits, and 100% inspections to ensure full traceability and accountability.
  • Maintain objectivity, integrity, and independence in all quality judgments, ensuring decisions are consistent, defensible, and aligned with company standards.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, to explain quality rules, guidelines, and nonconformance determinations to auditors and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure production targets are met and maintained while preserving quality standards, working effectively under pressure in a structured warehouse environment.
  • Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  • Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working.
