About The Position

The Quality Control Supervisor in our Plymouth, MN location leads a team of Quality Technicians or Inspectors focused on incoming or final product/component inspection. The Quality Control Supervisor develops and manages technician/inspector work assignments and ensure products or components are in specification and are compliant with applicable regulations/requirements. In addition, as a contributor to Quality System compliance, the Quality Supervisor supports the site to ensure the Quality System adheres to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA 21 CFR Part 820/211, EU MDR and other regulatory standards, as applicable. This position requires working onsite in our Plymouth, Minnesota location 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Vocational / Technical degree or Associates Degree in an Engineering or Scientific related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of production Quality and/or Quality Management Systems experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare, medical device or other regulated industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a team lead role and/or supervising employees.
  • PC experience and working familiarity of common desktop applications including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data; utilize problem solving methodologies and drive process improvements

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ, QSR, or familiarity with QSR/GMP regulations preferred
  • Experience collaborating across functions.
  • Proficiency working with Windchill PLM, SAP, Oracle, and/or TrackWise.
  • Ability to lead Kaizen events and participate in CAPA events.
  • Strong people leader skills including ability to effectively develop a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise assigned Quality staff to effectively execute QC final product and component inspection procedures and capture associated non-conformances.
  • Lead and supervise assigned Quality staff in effectively documenting and investigating QC non-conformances and effectively managing nonconforming devices and materials including proper disposition and recordkeeping.
  • Provide Quality data analysis and trending support to drive product/service and process improvements.
  • Manage assigned Quality staff work schedules and assignments.
  • Lead QC function planning as an input to the overall site Quality Objective plan.
  • Lead the team’s talent development processes and knowledge development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
