Requirements

  • An Associate degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology OR relevant vocational training.
  • 3+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to obtain or maintain an active DOE Q clearance.
  • Strong hands-on skill using precision measurement tools.
  • An exceptional eye for accuracy and detail, plus strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear communication skills that help issues get solved quickly.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Solid organization and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • NDT Certifications (3 or more required): Receiving, Dimensional, Mechanical, or Electrical Inspection, Visual Weld Inspection (AWS CWI preferred), Civil Inspection, Leak Testing (Helium preferred), Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, or Radiographic Inspection.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • ASQ certification (such as CQT).
  • Experience with formal quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
  • Hands-on exposure to PPAP, FAI, and supplier quality processes.
  • A strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and alignment with Centrus’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and validate inspections.
  • Document results with precision.
  • Support first-article and PPAP activities.
  • Drive corrective actions when issues arise.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve supplier-related challenges.
  • Monitor quality trends.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • Assist with audits.
  • Train team members.
  • Recommend process enhancements.
  • Travel to supplier sites to conduct in-depth evaluations that strengthen overall supplier performance.
