About The Position

We are seeking a future team member for the role of Quality Control, SAR Investigations to join our Financial Crimes Investigations team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL. In this role, you’ll make an impact by performing quality assurance activities related to Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and investigations. You will work closely with SAR Investigators and Reviewing Attorneys to ensure SARs meet Company standards. You will review FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) SAR fields to ensure correct data entry and supporting documents attached. The review includes all SAR fields, case file documentation of narrative, and mathematical accuracy. You will correct identified errors and collaborate with Investigators to address significant errors. You will solve problems in the form of mathematical or other calculation errors, determine where such errors originated, and make corrections to all affected SAR narratives or data fields. You will identify and reconcile description discrepancies throughout documents, conducting additional research and/or communicating with colleagues as necessary. You will effectively communicate and develop relationships with senior colleagues, collaborating with them whenever ambiguities, questions, or significant issues arise about their FinCEN SAR submissions. You will apply a foundational understanding of the products and services offered throughout the organization and the requirements under the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act to conduct side projects and other alert reviews. There are no direct reports. You will understand how the team functions within the organization and their responsibilities within the team. Work quality directly affects the work of the team/area. This role may be modified based upon local regulations/requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • 0-3 years of total work experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a financial institution on AML/ KYC/ anti-fraud related projects and/or ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) certification is preferred.
