Job Summary: The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for reviewing shop travelers and certifications for completeness and preparing the certification packages to ship products to the customer.

  • This position may require access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred previous experience in Quality Clerical or equivalent experience in a related field that requires attention to details and/or multitasking.
  • In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the competencies, abilities, and skills may be considered at the Company’s discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering and reviewing documentation such as shop travelers and certifications for traceability and accuracy to prepare certification packages.
  • Review information in the ERP system and verify due to ship dates and ship quantities for the purpose of preparing certification packages to ship products
  • Generating packing lists and certificate of conformances in the company ERP and other data basis
  • Access customer portals for the purpose of creating ASN labels for shipping products
  • Checking data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with requirements
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Must be able to communicate and correspond with internal customers as well as external customers (freight carriers, forwarders, vendors, source inspectors and some customers) to provide inquiries and any order-related information in person, by phone or by email
  • Work with various internal departments for data input and/or verification of data.
  • Ability to become independently certified for product release (eg AS13001 DPRV Cert) and prepare special process information for First Article Inspection reports (eg AS9102 Form 2) in at least one APP facility
