About The Position

We have an opportunity for a Quality Control Senior Associate Scientist I to join our team. In this role, you will perform tasks following detailed instructions and established procedures while ensuring compliance with site standards and safety requirements. You will apply your knowledge of biology or chemistry to support laboratory operations and project activities. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related life science or physical science field required with 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Strong mathematical and scientific reasoning ability with the capacity to learn and retain technical information.
  • Proactively address work issues individually and within a team.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
  • Basic understanding of instrument operations and troubleshooting across multiple techniques.
  • Proficient in laboratory-related GMP expectations and concepts.
  • Ability to identify out-of-specification data and perform limited data interpretation.
  • Propose procedural improvements based on sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to communicate barriers to management proactively and resolve them with minimal assistance.
  • Lead by example in alignment with Catalent’s values and culture; may lead small team projects.
  • Understand how daily activities impact group, site, and business performance.

  • Master’s degree in a related life science or physical science field with 0+ years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain analytical laboratories, including general cleanliness, glassware cleaning, ordering supplies, and minor documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, peers, and supervisors to ensure smooth project activities.
  • Maintain awareness of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), industry standards, and modern techniques relevant to pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Keep training current on all applicable procedures and ensure records are up to date in the internal system.
  • Train or mentor peers as needed.
  • Ensure a clean and organized laboratory work environment is maintained.
  • Perform basic GMP documentation and testing as assigned, including sample handling.
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
