Quality Control Scientist
About The Position
Regeneron is seeking a Quality Control Scientist in the Technical Resources Department. The role performs assay development, characterization, optimization, transfer, validation, and investigations for Quality Control. It also provides technical support, guidance, and supervision for release, stability, and in-process testing and assay development. The position is based in Rensselaer, New York, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Regeneron indicates that many roles are performed on-site; applicants should confirm the specific on-site expectations with the recruiter and hiring manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of HPLC-based assays.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with cell or gene therapy in a biopharmaceutical environment is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform assay development and validation for Quality Control.
- Review new test procedures and assays.
- Evaluate and introduce new methodologies and techniques when needed.
- Facilitate assay transfers from R&D and to business partners.
- Organize analytical assay transfers internally and externally.
- Set product specifications.
- Participate in technical troubleshooting and problem investigations.
- Review analytical development reports, assay and process validation reports, and other technical documents for technical correctness and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in training programs for analysts.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and supervision for release, stability, and in-process testing and assay development.
