Quality Control Roving Inspector Location: West Chester, PA Employment Type: Direct Hire – Full Time Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Compensation: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Quality Control Roving Inspector to join one of our valued client partners. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this production-floor quality inspection role within a precision machining environment. Position Overview The Quality Control Roving Inspector serves as a mobile quality resource across multiple machining cells. This role is responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections, identifying dimensional deviations, and supporting machinists and supervisors in maintaining compliance with strict blueprint and tolerance requirements. This is a hands-on position requiring direct engagement on the production floor. The selected candidate must demonstrate strong inspection judgment, technical understanding of machining tolerances, and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple teams. Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of quality inspection experience within a precision machining environment
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency
- Hands-on experience using calipers, micrometers, comparators, and similar inspection tools
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple production areas
- Stable employment history within manufacturing environments
- Candidates without machining-related inspection experience will not be considered.
- Jumpy resumes will not be accepted.
Nice To Haves
- Quality certifications such as CQT, CQI, or Six Sigma
- Experience generating and documenting NCRs
- Exposure to corrective action support processes
- Familiarity with CNC or Swiss machining operations
- Experience training or mentoring production personnel on inspection standards
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspections across multiple machining stations
- Conduct final inspections prior to release to the next operation or shipment
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications to validate part accuracy
- Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, comparators, and gauges
- Identify and document dimensional or surface defects
- Assist in resolving nonconformance issues at the floor level
- Support documentation and quality tracking processes
- Communicate findings clearly with machinists, supervisors, and quality leadership
- Maintain compliance with ISO-based quality standards
