About The Position

Jenkins Plumbing Company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our Hardeeville, SC team. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting residential plumbing installations throughout various stages of construction to ensure all work meets Jenkins Plumbing Company standards, local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and customer expectations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality workmanship, reducing warranty claims, and supporting field teams through coaching and continuous improvement. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys helping others succeed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple job sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of residential plumbing experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous quality control, inspection, construction, or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of residential plumbing systems and installation methods is preferred.
  • Understanding of plumbing codes and construction practices is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality control inspections on residential plumbing installations during rough-in, top-out, trim, and final phases.
  • Verify all plumbing work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes.
  • Identify installation deficiencies and document findings using inspection reports, photographs, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate inspection results to Plumbing Supervisors, Foremen, and field personnel in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Follow up on corrective actions to ensure deficiencies are resolved before project completion.
  • Assist in identifying recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure all safety standards and company policies are being followed on job sites.
  • Perform warranty and service-related inspections as needed.
  • Maintain organized inspection records and submit reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist with training and coaching field employees on proper installation techniques and company quality standards.
  • Work closely with Construction Managers, Builders, and internal departments to resolve quality concerns.
  • Participate in quality meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
