Requirements

  • HS Diploma
  • Candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
  • This position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • CWI Certification
  • Level II certifications in liquid penetrant (PT) and leak testing (LT)
  • Documented experience in NDE methods
  • 3+ years of NDE inspection experience.
  • Strong understanding of weld codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with mechanical drawings and related technical writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Q Clearance.
  • Experience with GD&T and Dimensional Inspections
  • NQA-1 and/or DOE related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections using NDE methods such as leak testing and liquid penetrant testing, interpreting results and applying acceptance criteria from drawings and work orders.
  • Perform welding inspections to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, evaluate weld quality, monitor welding and brazing processes, and confirm welder qualifications.
  • Ensure that all NDE and welding systems, processes, and documentation align with industry and internal requirements while helping drive continuous improvement.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and codes to validate product conformity and maintain accurate records for fabrication, inspection, and final reporting.
  • Manage nonconformance documentation.
  • Support internal process audits.
  • Collaborate with engineers and managers to communicate inspection results.
  • Provide training on inspection techniques.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work area.
  • Support other quality‑related activities as needed.
