About The Position

Join an industry-leading manufacturer specializing in high-performance phenolic bearings, laminates, and organic friction products as a Quality Engineer / Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead quality operations, drive continuous improvement, and minimize process variability across advanced manufacturing lines. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert for root cause analysis, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001:2015 compliance, and GD&T standards.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Deep expertise in quality management systems in strict accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Strong technical background in core manufacturing processes, including machining, molding, and casting.
  • Proficiency in reading complex engineering drawings, applying standard tolerances, and utilizing GD&T.
  • Hands-on expertise with precision measurement tools, standard QC inspection protocols, and ERP software; CMM operation experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Applied knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 6S methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a dedicated team of quality inspectors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and continuous learning.
  • Analyze internal and external quality data to identify systemic trends, implement root cause corrective actions (CAPA), and manage the RMA process.
  • Manage and maintain the site’s ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, acting as the primary lead for internal and external audits.
  • Perform new product verifications, develop work instructions, and coordinate training for new or improved manufacturing processes.
  • Establish, track, and publish key quality metrics, corrective action reports, deviation requests, ISIRs, and PPAPs.
  • Oversee the calibration and repair of measuring equipment and direct the procurement of new QC inspection tools.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison to resolve customer and vendor technical issues effectively.
