About The Position

The Quality Control Manager will perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance inspections of equipment and buildings. This role requires practical skill and knowledge in trades such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work, along with a high level of attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow. The position involves assuring quality results for the customer, providing accurate and timely reporting, and communicating effectively with management and subcontractors through routine quality control checks. A good rapport with facility contacts and affiliate personnel is essential.

Requirements

  • Proficient in written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four years of related experience required.
  • At least one of the following certifications or similar: Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).
  • Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control inspections in facility operations, maintenance, and facility repair.
  • Assure subcontractor results follow the requirements of the Quality Control Plan by performing routine inspection checks.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and relevant data and analysis to enable effective management of maintenance operations.
  • Perform on-site inspections of service at all stages to ensure the highest possible quality standards.
  • Analyze data feeds and error logs to determine points of failure and devise solutions.
  • Create and present recommendations to streamline production processes in ways that heighten quality standards.
  • Ensure final services adhere to all specifications and regulations.
  • Plan, develop, and implement quality systems to ensure mission success.
  • Investigate, analyze, contain, and correct quality problems.
  • Perform audits and implement new strategies to improve the condition and performance.
  • Manage and develop workload schedules.
  • Develop training and awareness programs on ground maintenance and best practices.
  • Ensure all federal, state, and local statutory requirements are followed.
  • Ensure that business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met in accordance with the job site requirements.
  • Assist with the hiring, interviewing, and training processes.
  • Write forecasts or predictions for team productivity.
