About The Position

The Quality Control Manager will lead ProLog’s quality program and independently evaluate whether Distribution Center processes, records, and outputs conform to the contract, DLA Distribution SOPs, audit-readiness internal controls, and accepted quality procedures. This position is contingent upon contract award, final funding, Government acceptance of the candidate, and completion of all required security and access actions.

Requirements

  • At least three years of quality-control experience related to Government operations.
  • Experience planning and conducting process surveillance, evaluating compliance, analyzing data, and establishing or improving quality-control procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and apply contract requirements, SOPs, internal controls, performance standards, and audit criteria.
  • Experience documenting findings and managing corrective actions through verification of effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be eligible for access to a DoD installation and successfully complete the Government-required Moderate Risk Personnel Security Investigation and suitability process for a public trust or sensitive position.
  • Must be able obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC), installation identification badge, PKI token, and controlled-area access, as applicable to assigned duties.
  • Because the position is expected to use DLA WMS and other Government systems, must be eligible for minimum IT II access, including submission of required access forms and a favorably adjudicated T3 investigation, unless the Government approves an exception.
  • Must safeguard classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), proprietary information, Government systems, facilities, property, and mission data in accordance with DoD, DLA, CMMC, and local installation requirements.
  • Must complete initial and recurring security training, including CUI, Antiterrorism/Force Protection, OPSEC, Counterintelligence, INFOSEC, and Combating Trafficking in Persons training.
  • Must comply with visitor-control, key-and-lock-control, incident-reporting, suspicious-contact-reporting, and local force-protection procedures.
  • As designated Key Personnel, the employee must be available, upon notification, to meet Government personnel on-site within one hour during normal duty hours and within two hours outside normal duty hours, unless in an approved excused-absence status.
  • The position may also require extended hours, alternate shifts, emergency response, continuity operations, holiday on-call support, and work during heightened force-protection conditions.

  • Experience with DLA Distribution operations, DLA WMS and/or DSS, Government audit readiness, evidential matter, or inventory accountability.
  • Experience with ISO 9001-aligned quality systems or comparable formal quality-management programs.
  • Experience using performance dashboards, quality-management tools, or data-analysis applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage quality-program planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the Quality Control Plan and surveillance schedule.
  • Perform independent quality-control surveillances of receiving, storage, inventory, issue, packaging, transportation, records, and other contract processes.
  • Use DLA WMS, DSS, and other Government data systems to validate transaction accuracy, process adherence, timeliness, completeness, and supporting evidential matter.
  • Analyze performance and quality data to identify trends, recurring defects, process weaknesses, and emerging operational risk.
  • Document nonconformances; coordinate root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, follow-up surveillance, and closure evidence.
  • Advise the Site Manager and functional leaders on quality risks, control effectiveness, audit readiness, and process improvement.
  • Support Independent Public Accountant audits, Government quality assurance evaluations, transaction tracing, and corrective-action reviews.
  • Ensure quality findings are accurately documented and reported in required Government systems and contract deliverables.
