About The Position

Ryan Herco Flow Solutions, a SunSource company, is a leading distributor of fluid control systems, fluid filtration systems, fluid handling products, micro-electronics, and general industrial supply. We sell to a broad base of customers in industries such as electronic component and equipment manufacturers, chemical manufacturers, water & waste treatment, metal finishing, pollution control and life sciences companies. Ryan Herco Flow Solutions/EMI is looking for a Quality Control Manager for our Tualatin location. This role will oversee all aspects of the company quality management system, interface with customers regarding quality issues and campaigns, and inspect, audit, and report on materials, processes, and products using variable attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company’s quality standards. The Quality Control Manager will also train others on quality techniques and policies as applicable.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years practical experience in a quality control or assurance role.
  • At least 2 years quality management experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC practices.
  • Experience working in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and GD&T.
  • Proficient with MS Office products, especially Excel.
  • Experience with MRP system (M3 preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in manufacturing engineering or other technical degree preferred.
  • Experience in a high purity plastic manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work in a safe manner.
  • Promptly report safety issues and any unsafe behavior of others to management.
  • Maintain and administer company quality management system.
  • Administer and conduct periodic audits of the company’s quality management system and suppliers.
  • Represent the company during customer quality audits.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Engineering departments to develop and improve inspection techniques.
  • Review first article inspection reports for accuracy and submit to customers.
  • Participate actively throughout the entire new product /process development phase.
  • Provide input for new equipment, tooling, and fixture procurement.
  • Develop inspection and test procedures as required.
  • Identify and track corrective and preventative actions.
  • Actively participate in employee training and development.
  • Maintain records of employee training.
  • Communicate with customers regarding quality issues, objectives, and audits.
  • Track internal and external non-conformances.
  • Author and generate procedures, work instructions, and other quality documentation as required.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Understand the urgency of our industry and be willing to work overtime and/or travel upon short notice to satisfy customer needs.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
