About The Position

This is a project-based opportunity for an experienced Quality Control Manager to take ownership of quality on a major ground-up construction project. The project is expected to run through April 2027 and involves the construction of a Corrosion Control Facility for a federal client, including administrative space, hangar space, and multiple subcontracted scopes with mechanical, electrical, and specialty systems. The role offers a high level of ownership and visibility, with exposure to federal projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the short-term nature of the assignment and possess a strong understanding of construction quality control, drawings, specifications, and field installations.

Requirements

  • Strong construction Quality Control experience
  • Experience on ground-up, multi-scope construction projects
  • Excellent knowledge of drawings, specifications and field installation
  • Strong understanding of submittals and shop drawings
  • Ability to inspect and coordinate multiple subcontracted trades
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to confidently identify problems and drive solutions
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Must be able to meet applicable project access and screening requirements, including a favorable background and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Federal construction experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the project's Quality Control Program
  • Perform field inspections of work in progress
  • Review and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Review approved submittments and shop drawings
  • Verify field installations against project documents
  • Coordinate inspections across multiple subcontracted scopes
  • Identify deficiencies and drive corrective action
  • Maintain accurate QC documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate required testing and inspection activities
  • Stay ahead of upcoming work to prevent quality issues and rework
  • Work closely with project leadership, subcontractors and client representatives
