About The Position

Apache Fabricators is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities within our structural steel and fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication shop environments, weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality management systems.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of Quality Control Management experience in a fabrication or structural steel shop.
Strong knowledge of weldment inspection and fabrication processes.
Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of welding codes, inspection methods, and quality documentation.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.

Nice To Haves

CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification.
Experience in structural steel, pressure vessel, or industrial fabrication environments.
Experience leading quality teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all quality control functions for fabrication operations.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, company standards, and applicable industry codes.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures and inspection processes.
Lead quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Review fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and quality documentation.
Coordinate inspections with production, engineering, and customer representatives.
Train and mentor QC personnel.
Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
Maintain ISO 9001 quality system requirements and documentation.
Monitor welding and fabrication activities to ensure quality standards are met.
