About The Position

SRM Concrete is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Manager to lead their commitment to excellence in concrete products. In this role, the Quality Control Manager will ensure products meet and exceed industry standards and client expectations. The position involves building and mentoring a team of skilled technicians, collaborating across departments, and driving quality initiatives that impact commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Ready Mix Concrete Quality Control management.
  • Strong understanding of concrete technology, testing methods, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management software.
  • Flexible and able to accommodate varying shifts based on scheduled pours, including day and overnight shifts.
  • Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional experience in aggregates is a plus.
  • ACI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and specialized analyses of raw materials, in-process, and finished concrete products using industry-standard methods.
  • Interpret test results, compare findings to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations for product release.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with all quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with production, operations, sales, and technical services teams to identify and resolve production challenges affecting quality.
  • Develop and implement quality control training programs for production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate, organized records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.
  • Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the concrete industry to recommend enhancements to quality control processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire your team to uphold SRM’s reputation for excellence.
