About The Position

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for assuring quality services to customers. This role involves reporting performance levels and compliance with the QC program, testing and inspecting services for contract compliance, evaluating data, and recommending modifications. The manager will also monitor building conditions for QC issues in conjunction with the Safety Supervisor, and monitor work assignments for safety or health issues. Additionally, the Quality Control Manager will produce and analyze reports, make recommendations for quality improvements, and investigate complaints, reporting findings to the project manager. This position requires professionalism to work directly with the project manager, operations manager, safety supervisor, and the United States Government. This is a Part Time position averaging 24-32 hours per week.

Requirements

  • PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 + years as a QC/Safety Manager or 5 + years as a QC Inspector in a DoD facilities support services/hazardous waste disposal management environment.
  • Construction Quality Management course within 5 years.
  • Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Individual is subject to Government approval.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with maintenance and repair facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assure quality services to customers.
  • Report performance levels and degrees of compliance with an established QC program.
  • Test and inspect service and work performed for compliance with contract requirements and performance standards.
  • Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations.
  • Recommend modifications or necessary actions to achieve optimum quality.
  • Monitor building conditions for possible QC issues or violations, in conjunction with the Safety Supervisor.
  • Monitor work assignments and projects for safety or health issues.
  • Produce and analyze reports and make recommendations for quality improvements.
  • Investigate complaints and report findings to the project manager.
  • Develop and maintain quality surveillance and tracking system for maintenance shops and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement QC plan, ensuring environmental plan compliance, performance monitoring, analysis and reporting.
  • Advise the Project Manager on quality control, safety and environmental program status, strategies, issues and potential problem areas.
  • Monitor and track specialized qualifications or credentials such as licenses, certificates, degrees or training needed by personnel.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
