About The Position

The Quality Control Lead will oversee quality control in our millwork production facility. This role involves leading a small team of quality control coordinators, ensuring products meet design standards, and implementing practices to maintain high quality.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of quality control methods (e.g., ISO standards, Six Sigma, SPC)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product drawings
• Familiarity with carpentry tools and techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (required)
• 3+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment (required)

Nice To Haves

• Leadership experience (preferred)
• Millwork or Woodworking experience (preferred)
• Six Sigma certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor quality control coordinators
• Provide support to ensure effective quality assurance
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies
• Supervise the inspection of millwork products to ensure they meet standards, create and enforce consistent inspection procedures
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to address and fix quality issues
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, quality issues and corrective actions taken
• Root cause analysis – Identify the causes of quality problems and implement long-term solutions
• Data analysis – Analyze quality data and report trends to find areas for improvement
• Process improvement - Look for ways to improve quality processes and recommend changes to enhance product quality and efficiency
