Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Technology, or related field. Additional experience can be considered in lieu of education.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Successful candidates will be able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation.
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
  • 3+ years of experience in QC laboratory related work.
  • Experience performing laboratory testing in wet chemistry, analytical techniques, and/or mechanical testing
  • Experience with calibration activities, troubleshooting equipment, and documentation control
  • Experience in a regulated environment (nuclear, aerospace, medical device)

Nice To Haves

  • Active Q Clearance.
  • NQA-1 and/or DOE related experience.
  • Supervisory or lead experience preferred; working-lead roles welcome

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily QC lab operations, ensuring testing is performed accurately, safely, and in compliance with procedures and quality standards.
  • Manage laboratory workflow, assign tasks, and support technicians through coaching, training, and performance guidance.
  • Perform hands-on testing when needed, troubleshoot analytical issues, and communicate results with engineering, production, and QC teams.
  • Maintain equipment readiness, coordinate calibrations, and ensure documentation, data, and records meet audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by refining processes, evaluating new technologies, and updating laboratory procedures.
