About The Position

The Overall Goal of this Position is to be an integral part of producing quality products. This role is for the 2nd shift, working from 5:00 pm to 3:30 am, Tuesday through Friday. The starting wage is $19.75 and up, with an additional $1.75/hour shift differential. The primary responsibilities include collecting, testing, and documenting quality control for dressing, mayonnaise, and sauces. Duties also involve taking samples, recording data accurately, and reporting findings. This position requires monitoring safe and sanitary conditions throughout the plant by using and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). It necessitates close communication and coordination with production supervisors, packaging operators, maintenance, and warehousing staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality checks in the mainline or Portion control departments.
  • Perform analytical testing on batched samples and record data.
  • Pull finished product samples for retains and micro analysis.
  • Perform x-ray examinations on lines.
  • Test for moisture and fat on products.
  • Conduct pre and post-op inspections.
  • Utilize Redzone for familiarization and utilization.
  • Perform truck inspection audits, including entering raw material data.
  • Familiarize with HACCP procedures.
  • Notify QC management when Quality issues arise.
  • Perform “Near Miss” submittals monthly.
  • Conduct line checks.
  • Check codes, boxes, labeling, seals, metal detector, and weights.
  • Collect and test samples of product hourly.
  • Document analysis of samples.
  • Perform testing on oils.
  • Mix reagents and handle hazardous chemicals.
  • Communicate clearly with production supervisors, line operators, warehouse, and others as necessary.
  • Observe, label, and document ingredients as they are unloaded from tractor-trailers.
  • Complete and file paperwork as needed by department.
  • Maintain and evaluate retain samples.
