About The Position

We are hiring a Quality Control Lab Assistant. The Quality Control Lab Assistant will support the QC Department under the direction of a QC Lead Microbiologist or above by providing general support required for the testing and release of FLBI products. This is a 1st shift position, from 5am-1:30pm.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year college biology/chemistry.
0-2 years of relevant experience.
General lab safety and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices.
General knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Water Systems, Cell Culture, Chemistry, and Microbiology.
General knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc).
Good general knowledge of computer systems and productivity software.
Ability to speak, write and read English.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Current work towards B.S. in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or related scientific discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide documentation support of testing and monitoring activities in the QC
General housekeeping of QC lab including cleaning and maintaining test equipment
Receiving and logging testing sample into data base/test tracking systems
Arrange testing sample to contract lab, and tracking sample and liaising with contract labs to ensure timely reporting of
Record keeping of quality report, statistical reviews and relevant document
Perform data entry for analysis
Other relevant duties as assigned
