About The Position

Ippolito Fruit and Produce Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Quality Control and Inventory Support team member to join our Inventory Control department. This role supports daily quality, food safety, inventory, and distribution activities to help ensure our products meet internal standards and customer expectations. The successful candidate will play an important role in monitoring product quality, supporting inventory accuracy, documenting shipment activity, and promoting a clean, safe, and food-safe work environment.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of previous distribution experience, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with inventory, shipment, and quality documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment and lift 50lbs comfortably.
• A team-focused approach with a commitment to food safety, quality, and workplace safety.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education is considered an asset.
• Previous supervisory experience in a distribution role is considered an asset.
• Previous health and safety training is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of quality standards, policies, procedures, and monitoring systems.
• Complete documentation in compliance with food safety requirements.
• Help ensure production and sales goals are met with quality product.
• Support proper product rotation using FIFO practices unless otherwise directed.
• Promote a clean and safe work environment across departments.
• Provide support related to health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Assist the Grower Relations team in monitoring grower food safety and quality standards.
• Review and report shortages, overages, and Days on Hand aging information within the Distribution Centre.
• Assist with compiling inbound and outbound shipment data, including cases, pallets, workload distribution, and movement volumes.
• Review and document product rejections and shipping errors for management review.
• Flexibility to travel between our locations at 1060 Howard Road and 201 North Service Road in Burlington, Ontario.
