About The Position

Flex is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support its manufacturing teams at its Buffalo Grove, Illinois location. The role performs product inspections and process audits to ensure electronic cards, sub-assemblies, systems, and units meet established reliability and workmanship specifications. The position is listed as a day shift, with a 0600am–0600pm rotating shift schedule.

Requirements

• Typically requires at least 1 year of related experience.
• Successful completion of company-provided training may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect electronic cards, sub-assemblies, systems, and units for compliance with reliability and workmanship specifications.
• Use gages, templates, microscopes, and other manufacturing aids during inspection.
• Verify that all required process operations have been performed on inspected products.
• Enter quality data into appropriate electronic or manual systems.
• Notify appropriate personnel of unusual product defects or processes that fall below acceptable levels.
• Provide timely feedback to manufacturing when non-conforming product is identified.
• Accurately complete administrative activities associated with quality inspection.
• Perform process audits and assist manufacturing with interpreting quality and workmanship standards.
• Assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials and products.
