About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector measures and visually inspects material to ensure internal and external customer quality requirements are met. The inspector uses prints, checklists, and various measuring devices, following instructions and pre-established guidelines while working under immediate supervision. Inspections are completed at various stages of the manufacturing process, including receiving, production cutting, assembly, packaging, storage, and shipping.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of management or quality assurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record measurements and other critical data appropriately.
• Identify acceptable tolerances according to prints and other documents, and ensure operations remain within those tolerances.
• Stop production or other operations and notify appropriate personnel and management when nonconformances are discovered.
• Assist with investigations of quality issues or occurrences and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
• Prepare reports and correspondence as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Complete inspections at various points in the manufacturing process, including receiving, production cutting, assembly, packaging, storage, and shipping.
