About The Position

This position reports to the Quality Control Manager and is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties. The Quality Control Inspector plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of quality control work. This role performs work involving conventional part layout, process auditing, and supplier part inspection, as well as a variety of assigned Quality Assurance functions.

Requirements

• Ability to gain knowledge of products, market requirements, customer requirements and industry.
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
• Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with measuring devices (i.e. calipers, height gauge, etc.).
• Microsoft Excel experience.
• Good communication and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and layout inspection methods and procedures.
• Make gauge setups and adapt inspection equipment and fixtures as necessary.
• Perform first piece, audits, and/or 100% inspection of various in-process and/or purchased material, parts or products.
• Communicate non-conformities with manufacturing lead men and supervisors.
• Perform S.P.C. as required.
• Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions.
• Perform any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
