About The Position

Advanced Industries LLC, a turnkey manufacturing company specializing in aluminum and steel products for the Department of Defense for over 50 years, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join their award-winning team. This role is responsible for analyzing and inspecting various aspects of operations to ensure products are manufactured according to work orders. The position is for the 1st Shift, running from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Must be able to read and interpret component inspection reports from suppliers.
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications experience.
  • Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related field in manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with fabricating processes and materials.
  • Proficiency in conducting quality inspections using calipers and other measuring instruments.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications, and component inspection reports from suppliers.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles and practices.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures.
  • Ability to conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of quality systems.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen (including THC/ Marijuana; medical card will NOT be accepted).
  • Superior attendance.
  • Self-motivation and dependability.
  • Must be able to tolerate repetitive, tedious work.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Must be able to manage high stress levels, high volume of production, and several projects at the same time.
  • Must have willingness to continue learning processes.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and move about the facilities.
  • Must be able to utilize and wear all required PPE, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and inspections on component inspection reports from suppliers.
  • Conduct analysis and inspections on manufacturing parts and processes.
  • Inspect and compare all material receipts to specifications, as ordered.
  • Directly support operation & coordination of calibration for all inspection equipment and acceptance tooling.
  • Complete and manage quality documentation such as inspection reports, first article, and QMS procedures.
  • Identify and release all materials for use based on acceptable sampling results.
  • Identify and quarantine NCP materials.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are being followed.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean, organized manner.
  • Actively participate in all 6S processes within department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
