Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing layout inspections with strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with automating inspection and test methods.
  • Ability to centralize, organize, and interpret data for analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with test and measurement of electronic and/or optical systems.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing products and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and familiarity with 6S methodology.
  • Proven problem‑solving abilities supported by practical, hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of electronic component manufacturing processes.
  • Self‑motivated with a commitment to thorough documentation of data and test results.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection of Manufactured Laser Systems
  • Perform detailed inspections of electronic and mechanical assemblies with strong attention to detail.
  • Apply standard inspection methods to evaluate compliance with critical design requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and refine inspection procedures.
  • Participate in problem‑solving activities to address and resolve identified nonconformities.
  • Evaluation and Verification of Purchased Components
  • Execute incoming material test plans to support qualification and acceptance activities.
  • Provide support to swing‑shift operations by ensuring continuity and availability of inspected materials.
  • Document inspection findings and communicate results clearly to key stakeholders.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of vendor‑supplied documentation, including first article inspections and material certifications.
  • Quality Systems Support
  • Record detailed inspection findings to drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct root‑cause analyses and recommend corrective actions with appropriate follow‑up.
  • Ensure inspection practices align with established procedures, best practices, and advanced inspection techniques.
  • Assist in developing new methods and protocols for component-level testing and measurement.
  • Perform calibration activities for monitoring and measuring equipment.
