About The Position

Gulfstream is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform inspection duties across Structures, Wings, Composites, and Woodshop operations. This role involves verifying aircraft structures, interiors, components, and systems against engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications. The inspector will ensure functional operations, FOD compliance, and proper documentation, as well as perform conformity and first article inspections according to FAA-approved procedures. The position also includes witnessing and documenting manufacturing process steps, ensuring proper tool and equipment management, supporting safety initiatives, and providing technical assistance to manufacturing teams. Participation in continuous improvement efforts is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience.
  • Completion of formal inspection training program within 90 days.
  • Working knowledge of shop math and blueprint reading.
  • Ability to use basic shop tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Willingness to work a rotating night shift.
  • Availability to work 6–8 hours of overtime per week, as needed.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces as required.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience preferred.
  • CATIA experience helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection duties across Structures, Wings, Composites, and Woodshop operations using engineering drawings, work instructions, route cards, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections on aircraft structures, interiors, components, and systems within assigned shop areas.
  • Verify functional operations, ensure FOD compliance, and validate all required documentation.
  • Perform conformity and first article inspections in accordance with FAA-approved procedures.
  • Witness, verify, and document key manufacturing process steps across multiple production disciplines.
  • Ensure proper use, control, and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Support safety initiatives by identifying hazards, participating in investigations, and promoting risk reduction.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams and assist with area inspections for compliance in Structures, Wings, Composites, and Woodshop.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across multiple production areas.
