About The Position

The Piping Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring materials and workmanship meet specifications and code requirements. This position is responsible for maintaining quality standards by inspecting and testing mechanical systems, identifying non-conformities, and recommending corrective actions. Requirements

  • Technical school graduate or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience in mechanical quality control.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and regulatory codes related to mechanical systems in energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.
  • Experience performing inspections, evaluating compliance, and implementing corrective actions in a complex project environment.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting and organizing work methods, with an aptitude for developing process improvements.
  • Proficiency in using quality control systems, tools, and documentation methods to meet project requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of informing and persuading stakeholders through reports, presentations, and collaboration.
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous learning in alignment with Worley’s core values and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of mechanical systems, materials, and workmanship to verify compliance with specifications, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure adherence to project quality standards.
  • Identify and document non-conformities, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken in alignment with project and company guidelines.
  • Participate in quality audits and assessments, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on quality assurance practices, assisting teams in understanding and applying relevant quality procedures.
  • Support project execution by offering technical expertise in mechanical quality control, helping to resolve issues and optimize performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, tests, and compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to Worley’s sustainability commitments by promoting responsible quality control practices that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
