About The Position

IPG Medical, a wholly owned subsidiary of IPG Photonics, develops next-generation products using its laser technology. The Quality Control Inspector II supports quality operations for medical device laser solutions by inspecting incoming materials and receiving documentation, reviewing device history records (DHRs), and helping ensure finished goods are released in a timely manner. The role follows good manufacturing and documentation practices and participates in activities to improve company practices and systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in a Quality role; experience in medical devices is preferred, and experience in other regulated industries is considered.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Understanding of ISO 13485, ISO 14644, and CFR 21-820.
• User experience with QMS, PLM, and CMMS systems.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read drawings and prints.

Nice To Haves

• Additional training in Quality and/or a focus in medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of materials and receiving documentation for conformity to specifications.
• Support manufacturing operations through timely review of DHRs, including release of finished goods.
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices.
• Participate in NCMRs and CAPAs to improve company practices and systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
