About The Position

Silvus Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II to join the OQC team. This role involves conducting thorough inspections of incoming electronic and mechanical parts, as well as during the manufacturing and testing process. The inspector will maintain accurate documentation, ensure adherence to proper procedures, and investigate quality issues. Collaboration with engineering and suppliers to recommend improvements is also a key aspect of this position. The role is on-site daily, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in West LA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of electronic part inspection experience.
  • Proficient experience utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
  • Read and interpret part documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
  • Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various communication systems effectively.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, highly attentive to details, and capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident).
  • Successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

  • Ability to recognize the importance of processes and procedures and follow accordingly.
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands.

  • Proactively recognize challenges or risks and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
  • Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary.
  • Ability to inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
  • Prepare in-process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain Quality documentation.
  • Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
